Thrombolites are the oldest known living bacterial life form, surviving after millions of years of existence. This rare and endangered natural feature is also significant in how local Aboriginal culture have interpreted this location in its Creation Beliefs.

This is a seasonal tour and is only available upon request. Minimum numbers apply.
Be taken to a bush/lake and estuary location. Learn about native plants and their traditional uses from bushtucker and medicine plants to twine. Observe native animals and discover which were important food sources to the region’s First People.

Walking & Canoe Tour 2.5 hours

A relaxing paddle along the calm waters of the Serpentine River in Barragup. Learn how local Aboriginal people traditionally relied upon the river as a food source, and how today are partnering with local government in finding ways that better manage the waterways and surrounding interconnecting tidal flats. Appropriate clothing, shoes and hat required .
